I was fortunate to be part of the Indian delegation to the 68th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting. The meeting was held in Lindau, Germany in 2018, bringing together 39 Nobel Laureates and over 600 young scientists from 84 countries. The meeting had the theme of "Physiology/Medicine" and aimed to promote dialogue between Nobel Laureates and young scientists. Participants had the opportunity to attend lectures, panel discussions, and informal exchanges between Nobel Laureates and young scientists. The meeting also featured workshops on science communication and career development.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the opportunity for young scientists to present their research and discuss scientific challenges with Nobel Laureates. This allowed for a valuable exchange of ideas and provided young scientists with insights into the scientific community.
The Lindau Meetings are considered one of the most prestigious scientific events in the world, and the 68th meeting continued this tradition of promoting international collaboration and advancing scientific progress. The Lindau Meetings have a long history of providing young scientists with a platform to connect with Nobel Laureates and their peers, and to gain inspiration for their own research.
Overall, the 68th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting was a valuable experience for all participants, and provided a unique opportunity for young scientists to connect with some of the most influential figures in science.
